Sewing is Fun not a Flog

Boxes not hats!

A number of people have come to me with memories of sewing in school that have left them scarred. It was often no fun at all when it took a whole school year to complete one A-line skirt, only to be told at the end that it had been rushed! Others gave up under criticism of a perfectionist.  In other words, it was a chore.  My personalised sewing classes ensure that sewing is fun not a flog.

In my sewing classes I aim to bring the fun back into sewing by producing a finished item that looks good, but hasn’t taken a lifetime to complete. I can guide you with some short cuts, which avoid tedious, unnecessary tacking, and get you on the road to creating something pleasing in the short time available in busy lives. A day spent in one of my sewing classes gives you the time away from everyday chores to concentrate on the sewing project and get things done. At home there are so often more pressing demands on our time, so a full day sewing with lunch and tea provided gives you 5 relaxing hours to concentrate and achieve a goal. That special time also allows you to really get to grips with your sewing machine and use it with ease so that once home, you are confident and comfortable trying new sewing projects.

So sewing is fun not a flog in Sudbury, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge, and the dreams to create something special can be realised.
